History

Green Spot Inc started as a small landscape-nursery business in the Littleton, Colorado area in 1959. At that time business consisted of landscaping  and growing sod on a small farm near Oxford and S. Santa Fe. After surviving the South Platte flood of 1965, we moved to 4849 S. Santa Fe Dr, the site of the  old Cottonwood Nursery. From there the business prospered and grew to become one of the leaders and innovators in the Green Industry. Among the accomplishments, being one of the first companies in Colorado to use truck mounted trees spades and start a large production tree farm.
Green Spot closed its Littleton location in the 1980’s and moved the headquarters  to its Longmont Production Farm. Through several phases of construction, buildings were added to accommodate the large range of plants that we grow today. While growing the business in Longmont, we were fortunate to keep our many loyal customers in the Denver area. In fact, we still do a great deal of our business in the Denver metro area.
With the ever expanding production area, Green Spot Inc is able to offer a full line of plant material. Trees ranging from small to very large, shrubs from native to the most popular and
perennials from spring to fall blooming. Special ordering is available throughout the season.
